Sterilization Standards

At Dynasty Tattoo & Body Piercing we have the HIGHEST standards in sterilization to assure your safety and health. We have strict standards and pride ourselves on these high standards.Each employee at Dynasty Tattoo & Body Piercing has been highly trained to assure our standards are above the state standards. We have NEVER failed a health inspection or been faulted. Our Gloucester County Health Certificate is always on display in our main waiting room for public viewing. Each Artist at Dynasty Tattoo & Body Piercing has attended the States Blood borne Pathogen Awareness course and our individual certificates are displayed in each artists room.

During original construction of Dynasty we decided to have a high resolution epoxy floor poured into each operational room. This high resolution epoxy is the preferred choice of laboratories and operating rooms requiring the most sterile atmosphere. If you touch the floor it has a “glass like feel” and is one solid piece, rather than tiles that can get foreign objects in the cracks. The high resolution epoxy floor is also non-porous. This means it is vir tually impossible for anything to be absorbed into it. No absorption– means no contamination. This was a very expensive addition to Dynasty. We feel that you can never put a price on one’s health. We will take all measures at Dynasty to assure highest standards in contamination control for your health.

We even go the extra mile and pay a higher price for disposable tubes and needles for our tattoo machines which are used once, then disposed. We use pre-sterilized tattooing needles and Body Piercing needles that are individually packaged and sterilized with EO Gas with spore marking, assuring us that each individual needle has been properly sterilized .

Each staff member has been vaccinated with the Hepatitis-B vacc ine. This vaccination is on record at the Gloucester County Health Department. This vaccine assures each staff member is safe from contracting or giving the hepatitis-B virus. We also make sure each staff member does not have any other blood-borne diseases to again assure both the client and staff are safe from such contaminants.

Any tool that is non-disposable is vigorously cleaned in this way:

Each item is cleaned in an ultra sonic machine for 10 minutes in heated water. The ultra sonic is pictured on the left

Then each tool is hand scrubbed and soaked in sanizide

Then there is a final, thorough inspection. From there each tool is separated, sorted to dry in a prot ected area.

Each tool is individually packaged in sterile pouches, dated, initialed, then labeled. As a double-fail-safe, each pouch has a marker that changes color when the sterilization has been properly completed.

Each Time we run a sterilization cycle we include our own test stamp which tells us our sterilization cycle was successful. We date each stamp so they match our pouches and entered into a spore log book.

In the final step, the tools are placed into our Autoclave (Hospital Sterilization) where each tool goes under a high heat and high pressure sterilization Cycle. This assures each tool is bacteria-free.

As an extra precautionary measure Dynasty Tattoo & Body Piercing includes an outside service that conducts sporetesting on a monthly basis and is sent to a lab to a ssure our equipment is operating perfectly, once again assuring your safety. This extra precaution is not mandatory by the state but it is mandatory by the Owners of Dynasty Tattoo & Body Piercing (Jonny Needles and Randi Polillo) to provide the highest quality service.

You can view the actual copy of our spore test result by clicking the photo on the right. You will see the results are negative, proving our sterilization process to be completed properly.

Each time a booth is used for tattooing or piercing, and at closing, each room is thoroughly, broken down and scoured with disinfectant solutions. Our counter tops and chairs are cleaned with disinfectant solutions,as well as the floors. We thoroughly clean all mirrors and glass. The Rest Room is disinfected several times daily and is equipped with anti-bacterial hand wash to assure proper hand cleaning.

We use double layered gloves that have be tested by us to insure proper use and to lessen accidental slipping which could possibly contaminate our work area.

This process is done on a daily basis. If you would ever like to see any of this process, or equipment used, please ask a staff member. Due to the sensitive process of sterilization, certain areas are restricted from the public to maintain a controlled sterile state.
